Who the hell are these people?

No, I don't think a person should be put to death for harming animals either, but the man definitely needs to serve some time, and could also use a psyche evaluation.

The people watching this are hardly better than the man. I regret that they are not being charged. I think all of them at the minimum need psychiatric help.

Only a coward preys upon the helpless. The suspect may have thought he was being a man, but he is not one in my book.

Yeah, that added to the horror. What kind of sicko enjoys watching another sicko torture a kitten? Sadly, there are an awful lot of people like this out there.

I know first hand because we have a rescued dog. Before we got her, she had been beaten, shot, burned and generally terrorized. She is doing pretty well after a year of love and safety, but still has issues.

Anyway, I'm not sure that any punishment or treatment would have the effect of reforming an animal torturer. That sort has a short circuit somewhere, and I don't think it can be repaired. Best thing for all of us is if we lock 'em up.
