Multi-classing and evasion

I'm playing an archer, lvl3 rogue/lvl8 ranger and leveling in ranger from here on out. Normally, a 9th level ranger gets evasion, but since I already have it from my 2nd level of rogue, will my character now have improved evasion? Or would he gain no additional bonus for having evasion twice?

Though there are certain PrC which also give you evasion, and they specifically state that if you have evasion already, you gain improved evasion instead.

As a general rule, evasion + evasion does not stack to give you improved evasion.

Otherwise monk 2/rogue 2 would give you improved evasion at level 4.

Which is funny, since Uncanny Dodge + Uncanny Dodge does usually give Improved Uncanny Dodge.

I think that is becasue all the classes that have one Uncanny dodge have the other, but not all classes that have evasion automatically gain improved evasion.
