Multiclass and two-character combos

My understanding is that you get to set a quarry once per encounter.

According to the Hunter's Quarry ability, it only goes away when you select a new Quarry.

So, you deal bonus damage until the end of the encounter.

For explicitness sake, no you are incorrect.

Errata says:
Add the following sentence to the end of the second paragraph of the benefit
section: “The target you designate as your quarry remains your quarry until the end of your next turn.”

Right...

... unless the feat has language along the lines of "The target you designate as your quarry remains your quarry until the end of your next turn."

Which, post-errata, it does.

Yeah, just checked the errata, and it appears I missed this bit when I was transcribing it into my PHB.

lol, marking 25 hostile monsters in one round, yes... not pretty, especially taking into account the armour classes of the characters are all pretty balanced at the moment, at least in my party, everyone attacking the fighter would be fine :) I imagine though that if there are 25 monsters in a 5x5 square a large part of them would be minions and be killed by the blast... otherwise mark or no mark the party would be doomed anyway ;)
 

Elf Wizard + Expeditious Retreat - You can shift 14 squares through difficult terrain (due to the wild step racial ability of the Elf) - makes for an impressive ability to get where you need to be (or away from where you don't want to be).
