Multiclass BAB?!?!?

I'm in debate with my DM about my 5Ftr / 9Clr.
My DM tells me : 5Ftr has BAB of 5, 9Clr has BAB of 6/1 so my 14lvl PC has an 11/1 BAB.
I tell her : standard BAB progression is 6/1 -> 11/6/1 -> 16/11/6/1 and so on...

The PHB does not give her the answer I need. :rolleyes:

Can anyone of you do so?

Thanks

First, your BAB is +11/+6/+1.

Second, I think this is described in the PH at the end of chapter 3 (page 55 in mine), under "Class and Level Features" (subheader "Base Attack Bonus").

Thanks for the clear answer.

The p55 statements weren't clear enough for her.... i wonder then what is..... oh well... we can't all have Elminster as DM.

Reminder to starting DM's: study your rulebooks dammit :)

CRGreathouse is right -- the answer is right in the PHB, and it agrees with you.

PHB page 55:
Base Attack Bonus: Add the base attack bonuses for each class to get the characters base attack bonus. If the resulting value is +6 or higher, the character gets multiple attacks. Find the base attack value on Table 3-1: Base Save and Base Attack Bonuses to see how many additional attacks the character gets and at what bonuses. For instance, a 6th-level rogue/4th-level wizard would have a base attack bonus of +6 (+4 for the rogue class and +2 for the wizard class). A base attack bonus of +6 allows a second attack with a bonus of +1 (listed as +6/+1 on Table 3-1), even though neither the +4 from the rogue nor the +2 from the wizard normally allows an extra attack.

Show her this sample NPC from the WotC website... a half-orc Bbn5/Rog3/Ftr4... which under her system would only have one attack... but in this link he has three.

Pax has given you the relevant quote. I'd suggest asking her to go through it once the way it is described there. In other words, have her add the two primary BAB's together, then look at the chart for the iterative attacks, rather than adding the values on her own. It should always come out right that way, except when you start dealing with the monk's unarmed attacks. :rolleyes:
