Multiclassing a fighter

Hi all,

*Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but...*

I am playing a lvl 6 fighter in Endur's Expedition to Castle Ravenloft here at the Gaming Action Board. When I designed the figure, I concentrated on making the character the best fighter possible, at least from my point of view. Now, I am thinking of multiclassing the PC the next time level up (if he survives, of course). Yet, I cannot find any character class that a) matches with the image I have of my character and b) is favoured by the stats of my PC.

Those are:

Dareios

Human Male Fighter 6
Lawful Neutral
A Mercenary from Southern Lands

Basic Stats
Strength 16 (+3)
Dexterity 12 (+1)
Constitution 14 (+2)
Intelligence 12 (+1)
Wisdom 8 (-1)
Charisma 11 (+0)

Now, my question is, what would you recommend me? - Apart from my direct interest in the EtCR game, the overall situation left me thinking. What should I recommend a player that comes to me with a similar question?

Yours,

Rafael

what books is endur allowing? there are an awful lot of classes you could multiclass with, i would recomend a one dip in barbarian except your lawful and you need to be chaotic for that. You said you couldn't find anything that would fit in with what you wanted the character to be, what kind of character are you trying to make?

What makes you think, that you want to multiclass? That might be a good starting point to find a class you actually do want to multiclass into. What's the specific lack in the Fighter class, that drives you away from it (if that is the reason)? In what direction would you want to go roughly?

It's a bit difficult to give you advice here, if you do not explain a little about that image. :D

Well, Cleric won't be the best choice. ;)

Bye

I believe that there are a handful of PrCs from the Expedition to castle Ravenloft that might be good for your character.

However if you are tempted to be the best fighter possible you might consider staying fighter and qualifying for the advanced fighter feats from PHBII which can but a serious hurting on Strahd ;)

Occult Slayer (I think from CW).

Easy to get into, full BAB, STRONG WILL SAVE.

And some nice abilities.

And did I mention it has a strong will save?

I'm watching this thread closely with interest as I also play a human Ftr6 in the same game with Ivid and was thinking along similar lines. Mind you, I was leaning towards paladin for the Cha boost to saves, Fear immunity etc. Currently have a 13 Cha and could put 8th level bonus point into that to make it a little more attractive. Main feats are Wpn Spec (longsword), Shield Spec and Shield Ward.

In a game versus undead paladins are definitely very nice characters. The bonus on your saves from Charisma (+2 if you bump charisma to 14- more if you get a cloak of charisma) plus the good Will progression will really help you with will saves later on.

Your healing touch and mount will be a bit weaker than a straight classed paladin but might give your group some backup healing.
