Thank you. I've been poking about rec.games.frp.dnd forever now, and thought about coming on here for some quick answers. I never realized HOW quick until I posted today. :)

That works for everyone but Monks

You need to remember that the iterative attacks from a monks unarmed strike are done differently. While BABs stack for purposes of determining whether or not an attack happens, the number of unarmed strike attacks are based solely off of the Monk level. A 4/4 Monk Fighter would have an unarmed BAB of +7. This would normally allow attacks of +7/+2, but the actual number of unarmed attacks would only be a single +7.

A monk4/fighter 4 can attack, unarmed, twice, at +7/+2

He cannot, however, attack thus: +7/+4/+1

And after I'd gone to all that work to leave that part out. <sigh>

Note that monks have the same BAB progression as rogues, and it works in the same way. However, they have a second attack bonus, which is named UAB (unnamed attack bonus), which doesn't stack with other classes and gives you additional at only -3. The latter applies to their unarmed attacks as well with attacks made with certain "monk weapons"
