Multiple foes with gaze attacks

One thing about going for the "completely averting your eyes" option against multiple Gaze attackers is that simply turning your back won't work, unless they're all off to one side...

Given that there's no facing in 3E combat, 'turning your back' is not a directional thing. You can turn your back on four gaze attackers equally spaced around the compass, just as you can not turn your back on those same four gaze attackers.

Similarly, if there are three gaze attackers to the north, I can 'turn my back' on one but not the others, or on two but not the third, or on all three, or on none.

Right, 1st level rogues against fireballs... Not that the rogue levels would matter then ;)

My point being that only first level rogues don't have some form of Evasion, just like 1st to 4th level scouts.

Show me the rogue who'se afraid of fireballs.

Scouts over 4th level are equally unafraid of fireballs.

Certainly, but in your scenario above the scouts level 1-4 don't need to fear fireballs as well cause they can move farther ;)

Oops, what was this thread about again? Limmericks?

Aha!

A do-it-yourselfer named Dallas,
Used a dynamite stick for a phallus.
They found her vagina
In South Carolina,
And part of her anus in Dallas.
