[Mutant Future] Welcome to Slimy Lake!

The creature does not move or reply to Deathvine. Its face is rigid, and it merely stares ahead, either unable or unwilling to answer.

Grub's torch illuminates the corridor, which is 10 feet wide. Like the room before it is a drab green with ceiling cages. The corridor extends to the left and right past the door, going 15 feet in each direction before leaving the radius of the torch and disappearing into inky darkness.

Opposite the door is another door. Written upon the door are the faint words:
Control Room.

Clyde followed the others through the door, still tightly gripping his crowbar. Looking around he noted the door and squinted down the dark passages, before turning back to their host.

Alright, which way big guy?

The creature looks at Clyde and then simply looks away as you all exit the room. After a moment, it begins to shuffle slowly behind you following you. It stops when you stop, but makes no effort to direct you.

Deathvine squeezes its vines to move past the others without touching them. The plant looks around and takes a sniff for clues to which way might be the right way.

OOC - is there dust on the floor, and if so are there tracks from the direction this thing might have come from?

There is little to no dust in the hallway between the two doors or down the corridor to the left (as you exit the room with the eggs ). Down the corridor to the right there is a thick layer of dust. But you don't see anything resembling footprints.

Grub looks at Deathvine expectantly and tries to be helpful by moving the torch to point down each hallway as Deathvine does her sensing. "Err, which way, do you think?" He squints at the sign on the door. "Kon-Troll room? Don't like the sound of that."

"On the contrary," Alecto tells Grub with a pleased pat on the back. "A control room is exactly what we're looking for." Trusting Slade to keep the natives from getting restless, she heads for the 'control room' door.

Alecto pushes the door open, and is greeted with more light and warmth; light identical to the crystal light in the previous chamber.

The room before you is 30 feet wide and 60 feet long. Drab green in color like the previous room, it is divided in half at its width by a series of bars, like a cell. A door set into the bars stands open.

Standing in the farthest half of the room behind the bars are four more large creatures identical in size and shape to the one you just met. They all turn to you and stare at you silently.

Also in the cell is a large glowing crystal, the source of the room's light.

The front half of the room is dominated by a U shaped desk, which faces the cell. The desk is full of dials and knobs, and a lone red light blinks on the top of this console. A broken chair is the only other piece of furniture.

To the right, the wall contains many dials, knobs and dark squares of glass.

To the left stand two large cabinets, each with two closed doors.

Clyde cast a wary glance toward his companions, then sniffed and turned toward the creatures.
