He did so today. He's awake, alert, talking, and off the respirator. They have also taken out a "heart baloon" (whatever that is). His condition is now listed as serious but stable, and he is in great spirits.

A heart balloon is inserted into the passage, and then air is added/removed, to make it wider and allow blood to flow more easily.
