My friend may end up winning Beauty & the Geek

Yah. My wife is both a homemaker and an occasional actor. When she was on "Who Wants to be a Superhero? Season 2" she told the Producers up front she was also an actor. However, because Stan Lee was not aware she was an actor when she was cast (they intentionally didn't inform him so as not to sway him one way or the other, and because she was only coincidentally also an actor), they decided to call her just a homemaker. Which is fine, except it created all sorts of ruffled feathers on various message boards about her also being an actor. Had they recognized it up front on the show, it wouldn't have caused as much trouble behind the scenes.

Right. Of course aspiring actors like that thier faces are scene on TV (who wouldn't) but it isn't the end all or be all.

I could tell after a couple of episodes that Sam was not a plant. But when I recognized him in the 1st episode I was convinced he was a plant and the fact that they avoided mentioning it only fueled my conspiracy theorizing.

As a side note, anyone notice that one of the Blondes on Rock of Love was on Beauty and the Geek?

Interesting that people are starting to make a career out of being on Reality TV.
