1. Gnomes are hermaphrodites with only 1 per 100 developing female traits. This female will go on to be a clan mother and will have multiple mates (but only one Speaker) - so technically polyandrous

2. Orcs males are forced out of the clans at age 7 wherein they form mobs who survive by scavenging and raiding. When a mob (all male) meets a clan (mainly female) a ritual confrontation is staged and mating occurs via ritualised rape after which the mobs are again chased away and the females return to their clans (where the ancestors make them pregnant)

3. Elfs are omniexual, metrosexual, ambisexual - damn they're elfs so KILL THEM ALL!

4. Dwarf loyalties are primarily to their clan and it is clans that arrange marriages which are a complex network of polygamous and polyandrous arrangements based on geneology, economics and sociopolitical expedience. Thus a male dwarf may have multiple responsibilities to wives who each have multiple responsibilities to husbands who in turn have responsibilities to other wives etc etc
