"I've never been high in my life in any way, shape or form. I've never held a marijuana cigarette in my hand and have never stuck anything that looks remotely like Sweet 'n' Low up my nose. I have worked for more than thirty years in an industry that actually espouses the lifestyle in a phrase we've all come to know and love dearly: Sex, drugs and rock'n'roll. My favorite word, "sex", is right at the beginning. There's that dreaded, self-destructive word "drugs" right in the middle, and the rock'n'roll part nobody can quite figure out. It seems harmless enough. I'm here to tell you that a loser came up with that middle word.
Clearly the industry is filled with mongoloids with guitars hanging around their necks. When this idiot was just a poor kid, before he got famous, he didn't have access to many drugs and may not have been a drug addict at all. He aspired to greatness and riches and as many women as he could get. And, of course, as soon as he got it, what did he do? He became a drug addict. His descent was hastened into a hell, behind a turnstile someplace, where he's doomed to ask - you guessed it - "Want fries with that?
I chose a certain lifestyle: hard work, no drugs or booze and no marriage. It has served me well." ~Gene Simmons.
"I'm assuming no one wants to walk through a jungle with their eyes closed. It makes your chances for survival minimal, at best. You want to keep your eyes completely open to increase your chances of survival. The tools you have are your five senses, plus your intellect. Likewise, those are the same tools that will enable you to make more money. Anyone and everything - institutions, religion, your girlfriend, your mother - who mutes or in other ways dilutes those tools is your enemy, sad to say. Your enemy - because they minimize your chances of making more money.
This is also why drugs and alcohol are your enemy: because they will rob you of more than one of your senses. They will rob you of the ability to see straight, think straight, or even be conscious." ~Gene Simmons
Some rules of Thumb from Gene:
1) Don't hang out with druggies - you will lose everything, but mostly money.
2) Do get straight, if you're not. (Obvious, but worth saying)
3) Drinking and drugs will prevent you from making money. That's a promise.
