My newly paragon wizard is eyeing an interesting combo

Plane Sailing

Astral Admin - Mwahahaha!
Thunderwave is one of his favourite spells.

He already has "Echoes of Thunder" (when you hit with a thunder power, you get +1/2/3 bonus to damage until the end of your next turn)

I'm thinking of getting hold of "Oncoming Storm" (when you hit with a lightning power you get +1 hit with thunder powers until the end of your next turn)

and then pick up "Arcane Admixture" so that I can add the lightning keyword to thunderwave...

Thus I've got at-will thunderwave which does thunder and lightning damage, and once I've hit with it I keep on getting a bonus to hit and damage with it for as long as I keep on using it :)

(it seems to me that Arcane Admixture opens up a lot of interesting possibilities when adding a keyword that a feat is attached to, to a different power. Another interesting possibility (especially in an undead-heavy campaign) might be to arcane-admixture 'Force' to something like thunderwave when you've already got irresistable force, or arcane-admixture 'fire' to magic missile when you've got 'irresistable flame')

What good combinations can you think of?

Nice.

Except you can't use Arcane Admixture to add the [Force] descriptor to a power, it's not on the list. But adding other elements to Magic Missile works.

Adding fire to Magic Missile is almost pointless, since almost nothing resists force damage... and if you're up against a Godwrought Colossus, you should just use your other at-will.

The "usual suspects" for Arcane Admixture are:
- Cold on all your at-wills + Wintertouched + Lasting Frost = cheese
- Thunder on Scorching Burst + Resounding Thunder = at-will burst 2, plus Enlarge Spell for at-will burst 3
- Thunder on Chilling Cloud + Resounding Thunder = at-will burst 2 with smart targeting (but without the possibility of Enlarge Spell)

Arcane Admixture is probably best used by Sorcerers with fixed energy affinity, though, because they benefit greatly from keyword specialization.

Well, the best use of Arcane admixture is allowing resounding thunder to increase the size of blasts/bursts etc of powers that really should not be

My old Swordmage had his sword burst (added thunder) and resounding thunder and enlarge spell to do a burst 3 that targets enemies only, and did 1d6-2+ a bunch of damage. It was really devastating. TO be really rude Multi the wizard and take a fighter hybrid so you can mark all those enemies also.

I'm rather fond of adding Thunder to my Stormcerer's Blazing Starfall and, with my Resounding Thunder feat, getting a Burst 2 Radiant Thunder at-will.

I mean, really, who's going to have Resist Thunder *and* Resist Radiant?

I agree it is fantastic - I'd only just got to the level where I was looking at these things, and I didn't remember seeing anything about it.

It doesn't seem overpowered at the moment, but certainly opens up interesting combos.

You all have opened my eyes on this one... I had no idea the energy admixture feat was so cool:)
Aside from at-will powers, take a look at Daily powers which hang around for the duration of the encounter.

Something I'm considering is Thunder damage on Fire Shroud. Not only would it overcome a resistance that's common by Paragon, but it would become a Burst 5 (via Resounding Thunder + Enlarge Spell) with "smart targeting". That's the scale of benefit you need to see before blowing a feat on a mere Encounter power, IMHO.

Another combination I was thinking about (which uses a couple of magic items effectively) would be:

Thunderlance + resounding thunder for close blast 6

Then add gauntlets of the ram (add 1 to push distance, takes it up to 5)

Then use Thunderwave Staff daily power to add +5d6/+5d8/+5d10 thunder damage to all the targets.

That could be a lot of damage to a lot of targets for a wizard.
