D&D 5E My PHB smells...

So, just really noticed that my PHB stinks to high heaven... This is the first time I've spent any length of time with it open in front of me while making a character. I noticed that I was getting a little light headed and slightly queasy from it...

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just mine?

It's no Fiend Folio stank, but it is definitely turning my stomach...

I haven't cracked the cover of my copy yet, but I've heard this complaint from others.

I can't wait for the next "My PHB is ... " smells, wrinkled pages, spin is bent, etc treads.

My PHB is sticky and several pages were stuck together, anyone else have this problem?

or My PHB was eaten by my dog, anyone else have this problem? Can't believe wotc would let dogs eat the PHB!

I'd asked as I didn't know if it was a known issue or if I should contact WoTC about it. I'll send them an email tomorrow.

It's the glue. My 3E PHB smelled the same way. It went away relatively quickly.

My PHB also has a weird odor and the recent humidity in my area has caused all of the pages to warp slightly. Darn basement apartments.

Just sat down for my first decent session of reading the PHB (i.e. longer than just a few minutes). My PHB definitely has the same issue. Hopefully airing it out helps.

I have to laugh, because I'm one of those people who pulls out my old AD&D products and smells them. My players think I'm bizarre (I am).

Plus, I have a big schnozz.


[Edit: ok, i pulled out my book. It smells like a leather saddle. I guess that's better than whatever you're smelling...sorry about your luck! ]
