Seriously, who spends more than thirty seconds on the toilet?
You must not be married or have any kids.
The answer to this is fibre. Seriously, who spends more than thirty seconds on the toilet?
And even with a high fiber diet, 30 seconds is pretty quick.
I can't find the exact fact at the moment but from "Uncle John's" factoid books, the average American spends approximately 15 minutes on the toilet when "dropping a deuce." And even with a high fiber diet, 30 seconds is pretty quick.
Guess that would make you a "flash in the pants" (Sri, I just couldn't resist.)
Oh I agree. The wife and I switched from plain grain to whole grains about a four years ago and the difference was amazing. I would say my fiber intake is about three times the national average and is probably just now where it should be.I wasn't counting 'clean-up' time.
And most people in modernised, especially 'western', countries don't eat even a quarter of the amount of fibre that is needed for a healthy diet. It's all fats and oils and proteins and carbohydrates, ironically the exact thing that fibre helps cleanse from the body.
In all seriousness, do yourself a favour and increase your fibre intake. It's the most underrated and yet most valuable dietary requirement as it facilitates the healthy function of the bowels as well as the mineral and vitamin uptake of the digestive system. I had serious problems for years because of low fibre that I attributed to all sorts of things when all I needed was a bit more roughage.
