My Wishlist for Erik Mona

"PS> I've got three other games currently in development. I'm confident that all three of them are more or less "unique" to RPGs. Can you guess what they are?" -- Erik Mona

Umm, Berserker D20? If not, I'd love to put a vote in for this! Or Conquerer D20...heh...okay...I'm weird...

Some of you will be pleased with the next Polyhedron.

I'm about 90% finished editing a Mini-Game by Dave Noonan (Pulp Heroes). The game is tentatively titled: "MECHA CRUSADE."

Fun giant robots.

Explosions.

Could it be, at last, the long awaited Jane Austen d20?

Well... not that we're "voting" lol, but I would like to see Bughunters, and Boot Hill.

My .02

Ok, here's my list for d20 minis I'd like to see.

d20 Transformers - I know Erik already said there'd be a d20 Mecha Crusade mini-game but I'd still love a *official* transformer version. (But let's either stick to the classic setting or do something completely new.)

d20 GI Joe - yea I know. But with the new GI Joe comic has come my renewed interest in this idea. Maybe a d20 mini that builds upon the rules in Spycraft. After all, isn't that what the OGL is for?

d20 Nehwon - it's been awhile since TSR/WotC has done a supplement for Fritz Leiber's classic fantasy world. Eric, does WotC still have the rights to produce material for the setting?

d20 El Mariachi - ok, this one's out of left field but it would be a cool idea. Of course, you'll have to know what El Mariachi is first (if you don't know).

El Mariachi is a movie by director Robert Rodriguez about a man who wanted to be a mariachi (modern day bard), like his father, grandfather, and his great grandfather before him. But the town he thinks will bring him luck brings only a curse -- of deadly mistaken identity. Forced to trade his guitar for a gun, the mariachi is soon playing for his life.

It is a wild action-adventure movie full of bullet-dodging sequences. It is a modern mexican-western setting with beautiful ladies and evil bandidos. You could expand this into a very interesting mini-game, IMO. :D

Other strange d20 ideas from my sick, twisted mind.

* d20 deva square-dancing - hillbilly celestials - yee haa!
* d20 fiend football - this ain't the NFL sucker!
* d20 Blood War ship battles - you sunk my battleship, berk!
* d20 cop show - how many donuts can you eat while busting that perps kneecaps, while still looking good for the camera?

I'd also like to put my vote in for bughunters, hollow world/earth, mexican masked wrestlers (ole!) and gamma world (woohoo, it coming! right Erik?).

Remade into Desperados (with Antonio Banderas (sp?)) if I'm not mistaken (same director though). For more modern Mexican-western setting source material look at the From Dusk Til Dawn films (also directed by Robert Rodriquez IIRC).

I agree though, could make an interesting mini-game (either based on d20 Modern or Spycraft).

I was about to mention Desperados, thanks. The DTD movies always struck me to be very gamer orientanted. Who else would think to plug a hole in the door with a bunch of severed arms?

Rodriquez also made the Spy Kid movies as well.

Eventually, I would love to run a campeign where people keep going through portals to alternate universes- fantasy, western, sci-fi, superhero- etc. It could be a lot of fun. D20 makes it more accessable as a gm.

FD

Sliders d20. Nooooooo!
