Someone was working on a Stargate game once, but I read on his website that it was killed. An earlier poster mentioned people going through portals to different worlds, and I thought of Stargate, but someone else mentioned sliders.

Erik, is Stargate too close to "straight fantasy" for you to consider. It strikes me as the best way to put your players onto worlds with lots of different genres. Great way to bring mecha in, without ruining your home base world, for example.

I'd love to do a steampunk game in the tradition of Perdido St. Station, personally.

Drooool.

Difference engines, biothaumaturges, insane extraplanar horrors, reality-warping magical fallout, cactus people, the Possible Sword--everything you could ask for.

I would love to see this.

For the Love of Polyhedra!

First, I tjust want to say that I think Polyhedra is an excellent Magazine, superior to it's counterpart Dungeon in so many ways. I've never been a big fan of Dungeon, but now when I see the art and imagination that go into each issue of Polyhedra, I have to wonder why it's attached to such a dreary product. I'd much rather have an entire issue of Polyhedra than half an issue of Dungeon.

Things I'd like to see...

Star Frontiers D20! - I'm so jonesin' for this :D
Superheroes - I'd love to see the Polyhedra take on the genre
Cavemen D20 - Poor Grammar! Killer Dinosaurs! So cool!
Time Travel D20 - Hey, it's supposed to be good for all genres ;)
Anime D20 - Not just Giant Robots - More like Teenagers from Outer Space

I'm sure there's about a dozen more...but that's a good start for my first post don'tcha think.

Scoobyloft

You and your friends tool around the Domain of Dread in an old model panel van with an awakened great dane of dubious ancestry. This d20 Modern game would introduce six new basic classes, the Weak Hero, the Clumsy Hero, the Hungry Hero, the Dumb Hero, the Clueless Hero, and the Repulsive Hero. The first character classes designed for PCs with bad abilities.

How long can you last before the PTBs toss you out on your ear?

Luchad20 - The game of masked heroes of the ring! :)

Now, that WOULD be a game that either tanked outright, or had a grass roots following...

Actually, having just caught "Mucha Lucha" on Fox Kids, I think I would really dig something like this.

And the same rules could govern an Anglo, WWE-type game (a la "Hulk Hogan's Rock & Wrestling").

Maybe this is one of Erik's secret projects that will tread new ground...
