Myconids, how to use them?

If you can try to mix in (reskin) some of the power from the seeker. I remember seeing a couple power mushroom related, like putting mushroom counter on the ground and they explode in a burst 1 when stepped upon.

Just refrain from putting too much healing power on them, otherwise the fight could get really boring real fast. Unless the goal is block access to someplace unless the player deal with those strange mushroom man. An entire colony 20 or so strong could be relatively invincible with redistribution of damage and regeneration...or an healing spring nearby. I smell a skill challenge, with failure having the group facing them and probably having to run away and find a less hospitable passage to continue on there way.

How about a small myconid minion with a burst on dying effect and the ability to take damage from an adjacent ally?
