Hi gamers!
For those of you unfamiliar with our new game, Myth & Magic is a fantasy RPG built from the 2nd Edition rules. Some gamers have plugged the system into the retro-clone box while other gamers categorize the system as a modern and cleaner approach to 2E. A small (yet growing) third camp of gamers now see Myth & Magic as the "roleplaying" version of 3E that never came to pass.
Presently, a 128 page free Starter Kit is available. The kit includes all of the beta rules for levels 1 through 5.
Myth & Magic is undergoing some core changes to the system that take it farther away from the clone box and into more "modern" territory. To date, our forum community has consisted almost entirely of gamers that spent a considerable portion of their gaming careers in 2E. Without inviting any edition wars or blasting of any sort, I'm hoping that there are 3.x+ players here, or 2E players that later played 3.x, that are willing to join the conversations on our forum about the proposed changes.
We at New Haven are very community oriented and will take good suggestions very seriously. It is our goal to deliver Myth & Magic in a way that appeals to the largest community of gamers, which undoubtedly consists of a large number of 3.x (and 4.0) players. So, your opinions are critical.
Please come by, download the free rules and join the conversation.
