Pathfinder 1E Mythic Pathfinder = how to break a game

Yeah, but I want the ability to stat up a 30th level wizard. That's what's still missing from Pathfinder. In order to be truly compatible with 3.x, one should be able to stat up characters from levels 20-30 because such PCs appear in 3.x products. (And yes, I know I can use the 3.x versions pretty much as is, but for completeness' sake, I wish Paizo would do epic.)
The math in 3e was never it's most solid feature, and it really stopped working at higher levels.
Standard epic didn't help by increasing the numbers even higher. The 3e attempt at epic wasn't particularly well received.

Honestly, if Paizo was going to update another big 3e book I'd like a solid Manual of the Planes.

So the solution is "I don't think I'm going to have fun, so I'm going to burn the game to the ground to make sure no one does?"

If you're not having fun, why are you playing in this game?

Exactly

I think I like this answer best. Since we don't really know what we are up against yet and DM seems loathe to change anything, I'm going to take this advice. Thank you guys for your input.

... and it looks like things might turn out OK.

Here's a thought from another mostly DM/occasional player: Don't declare it broken until you get there. I'd be disappointed if any player decided that my campaign was not viable just because they can build a character at max level that does X amount of damage with one attack. If you showed your DM that build and he still said that things will be fine then trust him.

Of course that was only part of your complaint - the other was that you didn't like Pathfinder. There aren't many ways around that. I'd have to seriously consider playing for a year+ in a system I really didn't like. Think about running your own game at a different time - your DM might like a chance to play for a change.

Wait, so now fighters actually pose a threat to the casters? This is cause for celebration! Hoorah! Hooray!

Except that casters get Mythic abilities as well, so while mythic fighters might pose a threat to a lower level non-Mythic caster (and even then, its not much of a threat). A mythic fighter is just as hosed versus a mythic caster.

If you do like the mythic rules...

... the MYTHIC MANIA Kickstarter by Legendary Games, Kobold Press, Rogue Genius Games, and Dreamscarred Press just broke $35,000 overnight, which means another hardback is funded for the Mythic Monster Manual, an amazing cover artist is revealed for the Mythic Hero's Handbook, and more bonus goals are announced, including the long-awaited HEROLAB levels! Check out the latest update; this deal keeps getting better and better!

We allow (even encourage) companies to publicize their Kickstarters on EN World. However, we ask that the publicity not be injected into other conversations. Please, put it in its own thread. Thanks!
