Unholy Warriors Handbook is 3.0, it got updated to 3.5 in Book of Fiends. The handbook has expanded options feats, prestige classes, unholy mounts, spells, etc. not available in the BoF though.

I don't play in a Biblical setting, but I found Testament to be very useful in running a 3.x campaign. There are a lot of things in there, including a mass combat system, some very cool spells, and some very flavourful prestige classes, that make the book well worth its cost. I would reconsider not being interested in it.

Other highlights include:

* A system for determining the welfare and growth of villages.
* Monsters based of Biblical and Egyptian themes.
* Spells that do more than make combat.
* Divine messengers that are not just "cool" -- they're scary!
* Between this and the "Saint" rules in the Medieval PHB, you can easily devise alternate priest classes that really feel like they belong in a fantasy world.....and make the existence of deities (good and bad) count through the way they interact with their followers.

So, how different are Testament and Medieval Player's Manual? I know Testament is v.3.0. Does the MPM update any of the rules in Testament to v.3.5? If not then I think I'm more likely to get just the Medieval Player's Manual.

I'm going to try to find Skull & Bones too.

Your gaming shop should be able to order it from their distributor. It made it into print distribution. It is under Bastion Press.
How long ago? A lot of the local gaming stores won't order books that were released more than two or three years ago. Stiil, I'll ask the guru at HHC the next time I'm there.

Completely different in terms of options and rules; both very interesting.

It's been about three years. The order code is BAS2000. I'm surprised the gaming store won't order it if it is a special order for a customer. That is just bad business.

Okay, I should clarify that the local stores are sometimes unwilling to order 3PP d20 System/OGL books since they aren't consider current. This has even happened with 3PP boks that are 4e compatible (XRP's Advanced Player's Guide).

One store I order older d20 System/OGL books for me if a distributor still has a copy sitting in a warehouse, somewhere. They won't ask the distributor to try to get an older book if the distributor doesn't have it already. That is how I got Hamunaptra. :D

For example, I'm getting a couple of the newer Castles & Crusades books but there aren't any of the older Castle Zagyg C&C books available from any of their distributors and they won't go off-the-map to try to find it for me. FYI... the store is comic store first and anything else second.

Roleplaying books tend to have a very short lifespan in Edmonton. If something isn't very popular, it disappears out of the distribution chain really fast.

This is one of the few series of books I've got all of them, kept all of them, and have used to some extent all of them. THere are a lot of useful little things in these books.
