Name of Tekumel Maggot-Deity?

Now with that said, if I was to do it all again, I might go for a more fantastic angle with dimensional hops to the Starship Warden, then to Tekumel itself and so on and just revel in the pulpy weirdness of it all.
Ah...that makes me feel a bit better about having just ordered it; pulpy weirdness and I get along great.

Sounds pretty cool.

I'm aware of Tekumel, but never looked into it. I've been thinking about picking it up; I don't really want/need a new setting (I'm running Wilderlands), but I was thinking it would just be cool to read and mine for ideas.
If nothing else, it is a great inspiration - for both strange cults/cultures and an interesting spin on dungeoneering. Be sure to pick up a reprint of The Book of Ebon Bindings; it's a fictional book on Tekumelani demon summoning, with grim details - and a wonderful, intelligent sense of humour based on understatements and irony. Positively delightful.

Gentlegamer: it is an Original D&D variant, which could become an alternative ruleset for dungeon-based games in the right hands. Unfortunately, the setting's fans are more into culture games, and not weird dungeons, so this aspect of Tekumel has become rather neglected.
