NC Game Day XVI (April 26-27), aka "GenCon Jr."

Hello, everyone. I have decided to run a second game at this Gameday (Saturday afternoon) and I welcome those who have a taste for the different to join me. As soon as it is approved, I have added the following:

Come play in a wicked age much like the ones where Conan became a king and Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser set about robbing and adventuring. This isn't a classic dungeon crawl, but more of a political game where the bold take initiative and the meek strike back.

Choose your fate from one of the following Oracles:
* Blood and Sex
* God-Kings of War
* An Unquiet Past
* A Nest of Vipers

Here's an example situation (the actual situation is determined at the table). Multiple chapters can be played in one sitting!

* A young widower, raging, whose beautiful wife was murdered by sorcery by a romantic rival.
* A court dandy, casually cruel, exiled from the presence of the prince for a petty slight.
* The burglary of the storehouse of a powerful robber-merchant.
* The unscrupulous landlady of a roadside wayhouse.

The game is to be taught at the table, and a winner will be chosen to be awarded a free copy!

I will post this later to CM when I'm not at work but feel free to copy it over there if you want!

Awwww, man, I'd definitely dig on some IAWA action! I had to nearly KILL to get into PirateCat's Dread game at the same time, but damn, I'd love to play this.

Sounds fun. Good luck with it! :)

I'd play but I'm running a game in that spot.

Hammer of Thorend Kuldalagh

I've posted the characters for my Sunday morning dwarf game on the Game Day site.

By default, the characters are written as male, but Clueless, if you'd prefer a female dwarf, I can easily make the pronoun switch. It's not like the facial hair will change any. :D

Jon: Do you know the last time I played a female character in my regular games? Trust me - it'll be the other players that have more trouble ignoring it. ;)

Many many apologies - the time slipped away from me for getting my reverse-Dread up. So I'm going to go find a good slot and get it up for any stragglers.

Aaah, it's on Sunday afternoon. I can't join! Sadness.

I hope it's an awesome session! Be sure to let me know how it goes.

Well as one of the first to sign up for my game, I wanted to offer you the gender option. My comment was in no way intended to reflect poorly on your roleplaying ability. I'm just eager to make sure this goes as smoothly as it can given that it's my first Game Day GMing experience.

I was really hoping to get in on this NC Gameday, it would have been my first, but my wife is (what seems like) 9 1/2 months pregnant -- and she really needs me around right now, not off gallivanting in fantasy land. :)

Seriously, though, we're due in about a week and I just couldn't get away. I was looking forward to meeting other gamers in the area as well as some of the out-of-towners that come in.

Maybe next time!

That's too bad but I understand. I didn't start gaming again for a full two weeks after my daughter was born. ;)

But seriously, if you have even a bit of time, try dropping by to make an appearance at the cookout or possibly the dinner on Saturday night.
