Necro/Judges Guild featured in new ENWorld Player's Journal 4

First Post
The current issue of the ENWorld Player's Journal, which should be on shelves in 3 to 4 weeks, features a cover by Frank Frazetta from the upcoming Judges Guild Wilderlands of High Fantasy Boxed Set. Inside are two articles about the setting. One article details some lesser races of the Wilderlands. Another discusses tomes of ancient knowledge and how to use them in your game.

For a preview of the cover, visit the Necro main page. www.necromancergames.com

I'll be posting more info on how to buy the mag in the next few days.

The Wilderlands and some cool Wilderlands content is also making an appearance in volume 4 of the ENWorld Player's Journal. There is an article detailing the lesser races of the Wilderlands along with an article on tomes of knowledge. This stuff is all original and none of it is contained in the Player's Guide to the Wilderlands.

You probably already noticed that the cover is our cover from the upcoming Wilderlands Boxed Set.

The table of contents for the mag can be found here:

...and it can be pre-ordered here:

I'm really disappointed that this thread hasn't received more attention. Its about the ENWorld Player's Journal. And last time I checked this was ENWorld. It has a cover by Frank Frazetta. Dragon magazine never had that. Not even once. Come on, people, check the thing out. And I am not saying buy it. I am just saying be aware it exists. It doesnt just contain content from Necro and JG, it also has stuff from other publishers and from fans. And it isnt preview stuff or ad stuff or stuff you can get anywhere else. All the content MUST be unique for the magazine. You cant get the races or the info on the tomes of ancient knowledge from the articles we did anywhere else. This is a really great publication and it is deserving of support. Now, I'm not going to bust on people for not knowing that much about it because I didnt know too much about it until I got involved with it. So what I am trying to say is "there is a really cool mag here that people need to check out because it isnt what most people think it is."

Go check it out!!!

Maybe we're all subscribed to the EN World Player's Journal already.

Maybe there isn't a bunch of response because no one has much comment except to go out and buy it.

Not everything deserves a "me too" post.

If you must... here it goes. "Wow, Cool."

Ditto.

I've been a subscriber from Issue #1, this does remind be that I'll have to reup my subscription so I won't miss any of them. :)

The EN World Players Journal is very cool magazine. It resembles Dragon magazine from the early 1980s, not just in appearance, but content-wise. What I mean is that the articles seem to have more variety than Dragon currently does in each issue. That's not a knock on Dragon; Dragon often tries to have a common theme each issue, or at least it did. I like that quite a bit. ENPJ goes for issues which don't have a common unifying thread for all the articles in a given issue. That also works, especially for a fan-driven effort. It's inexpensive, to boot. The Wilderlands material coming up should prove to be great, based on my perusal of the Wilderlands preview material at Necromancer's site, and my very limited glimpse at some of the material while it was in production.

Uh huh... and?

1) I think 103 page views (last I checked) isn't too shabby at all.

2) The Player's Journal isn't available for sale in my area, so it gets a big "meh" from me.

3) The Wilderlands book is still brand new (if it's even available in stores at the time of this writing - Nov. 17), so whether the article is "good" or not is still up for debate... and there still needs time for a fan base to build before you get the rabid collectors that must have everything Wilderlands.
