No, there wont be a 3.5 version of Tome1. The updates and errata are posted on our site. I'm not saying other companies shouldnt have done 3.5 versions of monster books (I love CC revised, for example, and that book needed revision and 3.5 was a good reason to revisit it), but we felt that for Tome1 there was no need to have people buy it again since we offered updates. Maybe I should be more money oriented and think less like a gamer and put out a revised Tome1 Nah. Bill and I said when we started Necro that we wanted to run the company the way we wished game companies would have been run when we were young gamers.

Don't worry Undying One, I certainly agree a web enhancement is all that's needed for those needing a 3.5 upgrade. Tome of Horrors 1 is a great book and it's descendent will live up to it as well.

(Also agree CC Revised kick arse but still think perhaps a CC 2 revision might not be a bad thing...)

I'll admit, I considered a Tome1 revision. But Tome1 had such good karma and was so well recieved, I didnt want to tarnish that. So when I balanced things while I saw some small need for getting revised content out to gamers, I thought that could be handled by online updates. I didnt want to spoil the good mojo of T1 with what could appear to some as a cheesy money grab. That isnt what we are about. Now, had I thought that a good number of gamers needed a reprinted revision and that a revision was necessary (like, say, the CC revision), I would have put that out in a heartbeat. Its all about the gamer to me.

It is such a luxury to run Necro as a side gig and not have to worry about money (which, strangely, I think has led us to do business a certain way that has actually led to our being successful--sort of an interesting phenomenon when you think about it).

You could do it once the book goes out of print. If you ever reprint it, do it in 3.5. Or 4e, if things get really ugly at WotC.

That's true. But what would really be fun some years from now is to do a "Best of" the CC's and Tomes.
