D&D 5E Necromancer playability

Technically, by RAW, a 20th-level necromancer can animate and control 101 skeletons/zombies. Every day. Now, leaving aside arguments of whether you would allow that in your game or not, or cheesegaming, etc., the fact is that this would be super annoying for all other players and the DM. But if you came up with some sort of house rule that could combine these creatures into one creature of equivalent power, would you as a player in that game, be happy with that compromise?

Potentially but not really. This also definitely stems from how advantageous numbers of creatures are in 5th edition, creating creatures of 'equal power' would probably be just as disruptive in other ways. Plus, it's one of the last holdouts for a real summoner option, and I'd rather that stayed in the game, personally.
 



The rule used to do this is somewhat irrelevant. I'm mainly asking that, if there was a player that did this and you were either a player or DM in that game, would you have a problem with it?
I had a player that wanted to do it and that was the answer we came up with to make everybody's life easier.
 


If the player and dm were fine with it, I'm down for it. Under two conditions though... it's either a swarm of 101 dalmatians or one giant one and they earn a nemesis named Cruela...

Seriously though if it's balanced and fun and means the necros turn doesn't take 20 minutes to slog through, have at.

Such a rule is totally unnecessary. I've had players run around with two dozen skeletons before. It's not hard to manage. A hundred skeletons wouldn't be any different--just have the player bring five times as many dice.

Well, I wouldn't allow it as a DM, and I wouldn't play in a game with it being allowed. I wouldn't inflict that level of unfun on a group for the benefit of one player. Rolling 101 attacks, tracking 101 hit points, etc. every single turn plus the DM having to attack them isn't my idea of a fun game.
