"Rise, dead ones, and do as I command! Too long have your souls clung to your bones in cold agony! Do battle under my banner and I shall set your souls free when you fall!"Well, in the case of Aragorn, he didn't exactly -enslave- the undead to do his bidding. He entreated with them and struck a deal.
So, a necromancer who raises the undead to do his bidding? Not so heroic, not so good. A necromancer who entreats the -dead- to help him? That's more like the shaman, but instead of spirits, it's ghosts. That -can- be very heroic.
"Oh ancestors, your deeds are legendary, and your sons have need of you again! Come, oh ancestors, and once again take shelter in your bodies of flesh and bone, for evil has risen to threaten your homeland once more! To arms, forefathers, to arms!"
