Need a new Gaming Song?

I thought I'd share a gaming song that a friend and I recorded. Many people heard it on the Frandor's Keep flip-thru product preview posted by Kenzer & Co and have asked where they can get a copy of it.

Fourth Level Fighter is a free download. Please give it a listen, share it, give it some good pub (a few independent sites have made mention of it). We hope to have this become a classic gaming song (is there such a thing?) and coming in at over 7 minutes, we figure it's an epic.

As far as credits go, I wrote the lyrics and played the bass. My friend (and former gaming buddy), Aaron, sang and played guitars and drums.

Give it a listen and spread the word!

Fourth Level Fighter Music and lyrics by Brandon Neff and Aaron Ballard

With a two handed sword
I’m headed to the mountains
To rescue the Princess
From the evil goblins!

I ignore all the signs
Of impending danger
Because I’m a Fighter
Not some crappy Ranger.

Fortyseven hit points
And a high dexterity
A seventeen for strength
Kobolds are afraid of me

CHORUS
Crafted from numbers, on living paper
I escape from the mundane to a medieval caper
While in real life my fate is unspoken
Here I roll the dice and my fate is ill-spoken

I locate the lair
But it doesn’t make much sense to me
I think that the DM
Might be out to get me

A hero in armor of truth
Bards tell my legacy
The flame of my torch
Illuminates the enemy

BRIDGE
I wade into battle
Hewing foes asunder
The deeper I venture
The deeper I wander

The bodies pile up before me
Their corpses I’ll plunder
The deeper I venture
The deeper I wonder

Repeat CHORUS

I drink my last potion
Charge through the open gate
The flame of the dragon
Tries to seal my awful fate

With a handful of dice
Five times I roll twenty
The dragon goes down
The DM helped plenty

I leave with the princess
Satchel chock full of gold
We head to the tavern
Where my mighty tale unfolds

Repeat CHORUS

BRIDGE 2
The king he honored me
With a mighty crossbow
It’s blessed by the elves, he says
I thank him and then I go

The life of a hero
Struggling to stay alive
Is worth all the hardship
‘cause I’m now at level five!

Nice! That's pretty catchy!

As far gaming goes, recently I've been getting into listening to trance or classical music while I play. I find it makes me cooler and really cuts down on that "gamer rage" that I get when I play competitive games.
