D&D 5E Need advice for how to help my wife make a new PC

OB1

Jedi Master
A Mastermind Rogue can be an excellent party face, just have her take her expertise in persuasion and deception (and then insight and investigation at level 6 for additional utility in this type of campaign). If the other rogue went the more traditional thieves tools/stealth/slight of hand route, that gives her a unique niche while still playing a 'simple' character. The bonus action help also means she can easily give the other rogue advantage on important checks like picking locks (or pockets) or for sneak attacks. If she at least trains in stealth, with PwoaT, she'll still be fine when it comes to sneaking around. And of course take 16 in Dex and Cha to start.
