Need feat help building a minotaur foe

Hi all,

I'm looking at building a CR 15 Minotaur for my players to face, so he'll be a Barbarian 1 / Fighter 9 / Thayan Gladiator 2

That gives me 11 feats (1,3,6,9,12,15 HD and 8 fighter bonus feats). I need to take Improved Toughness and Weapon Focus (gore) for his prestige class requisites. He gets Improved Natural Attack (gore) as a bonus feat.

What feat choices would you recommend for a fun opponent?

Minotaurs in 3.5 are CR4, unless Thayan Gladiator is not helpful enough to be associated levels, it would be CR 16. Also Feats acrue by hit die so the 6+1+9+2=18 so thats another feat.

Fun or survivable?

Iron will or some other way to help with will saves.

Gore is not quite so effective unless he can charge, a lot. Mobility [thus dodge] might let him. Or a feat that allows crooked charges.

Grabbing a 2 falchion and power attack is one of the most effcient ways to deal damagein 3.5. Maybe leap attack?
 

Definitely Power Attack.

Awesome Blow can be good fun, but isn't as good vs. multiple opponents.

Improved Sunder , preferably with an adamantine weapon, would be brutal.

Improved Critical could lead to some serious damage.
 



I'd concur with the Power attack assessment.

I'd add Large and In Charge (from the Draconomicon these days I think).

You also might consider tossing a character level and give the minotaur the feral template (from Savage Species) as well.
 

Miniatures HB has a couple of feats that add 1d8 then 2d6? damage on a charge.

Improved trip (thats 2 feats though with Combat Reflexes)?

Combat Brute Tactical feat from Complete Warrior (needs several feats as pre-reqs though).
Some other Tactical feats may also be appropriate.
