FATDRAGONGAMES

First Post
I'll be running a game this weekend for three people completely new to RPGs who want to try D&D. Anyone have a suggestion for a good one-shot module that can be completed in a single evening?

EDIT: I'd like something that has a classic dungeon crawl feel to it.

Death in Freeport is a good choice. Lots of atmosphere, a little investigation, and a short but satisfying dungeon crawl near the end.

It's definitely doable in a single session, if you're running for more than 4 hours.

Goodman Games big book "The Adventure Begins" is full of low-level adventures that scream old school dungeon.

Yes, this one. I have used two out of this so far (in C&C), and they both played quick and simple, but left plenty of options open for continuing with new material.

The Burning Plague, off of Wizards's website, is an excellent introductory adventure, but I don't know how dungeon crawly you might find it. Basically the party saves a town from a plague started by a half-orc druid who's hanging out in a mine.
