Need Help Creating a 6th level Cleric

Hi Folks,
I typically do not run Clerics. However I've been tasked to create one for a Campaign going through the Red Hand of Doom Module starting tonight. I was wondering what would be an effective and fun build. I'm figuring either a Dwarf or Elf for race and the starting level is 6th. If I go Dwarf, I would probably look to more of a Martial build and if Elf perhaps more of a Ranged/support type build. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

One of my players had a blast playing a dwarven war cleric of clangedin (sp?) with the protection and war domains. 40 point buy means you can hav a high strength and cha in addition to wisdom, so can really make this build work (you don't really need a high dex with the heavy armor you'll likely be wearing).
 

Here is a 6th level cleric of mine that is currently in action in a Forgotten Realms campaign...he is more of a human martial build style...with 40 points buy, he would be significantly better. He has been very fun and quite effective so far.
