Well... if you're looking for a full arcane caster with some style or focus, you might consider some sort of specialist wizard. Unfortunately the two books which help a specialist wizard the most are Complete Mage (there's an option that lets you ban another school and get more spells per day, some specialist oriented feats, plus the master specialist prestige class) and the variant specialists from Unearthed Arcana. You might ask the DM if he'd allow you to use those things from those two books. In particular a conjurer might be interesting I think (though watch out for those elemental summons for RttToE).
