So is this something you're researching for your own use, or for a paid project? Becuase you know, immediately my mind leapt to a potential big book of neutral-ish/natural sort of critters for WotC. Come on, feed the rumor mill a couple crumbs?

I don't know if he fits what you're looking for, but there's always Primus- the supervisor/ leader of Mechanus and the Modron Race. The Planescape campaign setting seems to elude to him being a greater power on Mechanus, but he doesn't have any actual followers so his status outside of his homeplane is unknown.
