Need help remembering name of old movie!

Ok, this is about driving me nuts, so hopefully someone will remember the name of this movie.

It's from the 80's, maybe early 90's. It's about a man who dies (I don't remember how) and comes back to life. If I remember correctly, he brought some kind of demon or spirit back with him. He has a bunch of out-of-body experiences (cool effects for the time) and ends up fighting the demon/spirit creature at the end of the movie. My mind could be playing tricks on me, but I remember that the box-art for the movie had someone wearing sunglasses. I hope that's enough information to go on, because I don't remember much else.

My eternal gratitude to the person who remembers the name of this movie.

Sounds like "Hideaway".

HA! That's it! Good job and thanks. Seems it was actually made in 1995. The movie was almost universally hated for some reason, but I thought it was great. Roger Ebert gave it a thumbs up too.

From Dean R. Koontz. He's written lots of great books and had quite a few turned into lackluster to horrid sceenplays. It seems that every time they adapt one it turns to drek fast. A couple of decent adaptation's of his I've seen are "Whispers" and "Servants of the Twilight".

Since it was answered, might as well hijack this thread with a movie I've been trying to remember:

It's a black and white movie, set in England (or the UK, anyway). It's a werewolf movie, or some sort of horrible dog-creature. But I think it turns out it was a hoax. Anyway, the main character gets some of the hair of it, and I think does a spectroscopic analysis, but his analysis fails, which completely baffles him. But then later on, it turns out that someone just sabotaged the equipment (or the sample) which is why it didn't work, not anything supernatural. That's about all that I remember about it, except I liked it and want to look for it on DVD.

I've got another movie which I cannot remember the name of.

It's a fantasy film set during WWII in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe-Romania I believe. A German patrol comes across an old citadel, which seems abandoned. They eventually find a door to a wierd plane or something.

The film's got to be at least as old as the 80s

I was really young when I rented this so it got a bit too wierd for me at the time but I've wanted to revisit it.
