just my 2 cents...

Never while we stour to evils demands will the bid of our ancestors rot in your hand.

couldnt find anything for s either...but saw stour, so i looked it up...one definition means "a conflict" or what-not. so this might be the word that was missing.

all other words (that most people had already) can be found in the phrases like a word find...left/right..up/down...and diagonal.

i love puzzles like this one, post the others ones ur DM gave u

and i hope this was right and helps u guys out. :p

Also a short backstory of these puzzles/crest.

On the eve before the Last Battle, Tel Demin Althane gathered his tweleve generals and gave unto each of them a crest signaling thier leadership and status. Simple affairs, the hung upon pendants worn about th eneck of each of the generals but bestowed unto them a dignity and honor great enough that all who saw the creats knew they bestrowed greatness.

Althane imbued each of the with power to protect and aid his generals, and in the Waves of Chaos that followed the Last Battle the very essence of each general became infused with the crests. Athane told the generals that collectivly the crests affored passage to a nexus so great that even he could not tap the power, but that simply being near bestowed gifts and blessings. Athane used his secret locale to store his personal trearures, and should he fall in battle he wanted it protected as much as possible. What does "the hammer fall" mean? Does it mean "ring?"

...I am not sure how "the hammer fall" will help. A synonym for the sound a hammer makes on an anvil perhaps.
Yeah. Like that.

What is the solution to the first riddle?

As for: By the Hammer fall is the mystery revealed.
A couple of questions: The owners of these crests wouldn't happen to carry hammers would they? Or, did you find a hammer somewhere? Or do you have to hit the crests with a hammer after you come up with the solution to 'announce' that you've solved it?
