In my newest group the barbarian got some kickbutt rolls for stats so I decided to go with a defensive-oriented paladin (not using the word t*nk - I refuse).
My plan is to go 3 levels of paladin then 4 levels of knight to get Mettle (not using the word t*unt, I refuse) then get the Defender of Sealtiel PRC.
My feats now are Servant of Heaven, Diehard (DoS req's) and Divine Shield.
Question is, are the knight levels worth it, or should I just go Fighter with a buttload of shield feats?
