Tales and Chronicles
Jewel of the North, formerly know as vincegetorix
OK, short story. I'm currently a player in an OotA campaign with two other players, sometime three and I'm getting bored with the campaign and the table ambiance at the same time, its just seem like both of those things arent as fun anymore. I'd like to hear new ideas to make an interesting character, because I cant seem to find the inspiration. Before just quitting I'd like to give my character a last chance by giving him a new spin. My character is a dwarf devotion paladin, taken prisoner with Eldeth, the dwarven scout from the game. He swore an oath to protect his ''new warband'', to see the kingdom of Delzoun reborn and to further the cause of the dwarf-kind. Last game, we fought a bunch of manta ray thingies on a barge on the dark lake and we lost like half of the NPC still with us. During this fight, I lost my weapon and dropped my armor to go for a swim and kill thing, and still I killed half the enemies with my bare hands (three crits in a row!). Disheartened by the lost of this many NPC, I swore to never rest until my body rested with those left behing under the earth and told that I felt I lost the honor to bear arms in the name of the great Dwarfhome. At the same time, I dont like playing paladins and I ask to change my class to something more I'll find more interesting.
So, in your opinion, what would be a fun (maybe unusual) build for this character story going forward? In the end I might just quit, but this is a ''build of the last chance'' kind of thing.
I was thinking about maybe a kensei with axe for a devout of Clanggedin, dwarf god of war and battlefield death, longdeath monk related to Dumanthoin, god of subterranean exploration and those dead under the earth to honnor the men/women/creature I left behind, or a berserker to play the death-wish dwarf.
