Wow! Excellent stuff Man!

I'd play these just to listen to, let alone play them during games. Very well done.

Hall of Kings felt like a mix of Tangerine Dream and Harold Faltermeyer. Like something that could have been on the Legend soundtrack, but a lot darker and edgier. Very moody, anthemic and regal!

DarkenwoodXVII is my favorite of the three. When I close my eyes and listen to this one I hear Dwarven hammers working at the forge. I'm not sure what you envisioned, or what the title meant for you, but with my eyes closed I envision the Mines of Moria before they were ruined. I can see the Dwarves living and working, but with a feeling of dread waiting just around the corner. The guitar sounds like George Lynch ala Tooth and Nail. This song could easily have been a never before released Dokken instrumental.

Twilight In Palanthas has a beautifully haunting David Gilmour feel to it. I can hear the sounds of nightime birds and insects as the sun goes down. The guitar gives a feeling of bittersweet as the day, and perhaps an age, come to a close.

All in all, very well done. Your arrangements are top notch. Your sense of rhythm and timing are excellent. And, your ability to capture a mood or feeling is very good. Do you have any pieces with a bit more of a driving tempo for fight scenes or chases? I'd be interested to hear what you can do when you shred it a bit. The only place where it was a little rough was in the mixing, but I could really only hear any imperfections when listening through headphones* - through regular speakers it sounded perfect. You should really look into some professional mixing and production, and then find a place to start selling it. I'd pay to download it.

Also, Welcome to ENWorld.

(*I was using my old Bose noise-cancelling headsets to listen, which are extremely sensitive. With those headsets, I can even hear where different tape tracks start and stop on Boston's Third Stage. So don't sweat it too much.:))

Thanks for the positive feedback. :)

I'm at a point in my life where I'm undecided what to do. Each song takes about a month to write, produce, and record. That's a lot of work, and I'm just not sure there is a listening audience out there. I used to do pen/paper D&D with friends, but the group broke up, and now I spend countless hours in World of Warcraft (I know, I know). I'm just putting feelers out to see if I should record again, or just give it up altogether.

And yeah.....I'm a product of the 80's. I like to think of my material as a eclectic mix of Enya and Pink Floyd.

The recording was done in Apple's "Garage Band".....not the highest grade software by a long shot. I'm learning Logic, but it's a steep learnng curve for sure.

I'm open to any other suggestions criticisms you all might have. Would you use this stuff for background music during game night?

God, yes! I currently stick primarily to orchestral arrangements and instrumental tracks from Italian film scores of the 1970s and 1980s (e.g., tracks from Goblin, Marcello Giombini, and Stelvio Ciprian are common) as good, instrumental, rock is not especially easy to come by.

Nice work, mate. Keep recording? Yes!

I mean, as long as it's fun for you as well. Me, I love recording music, so yeah, there's a bias here. :) But anyway, thanks for doing what you did (being generous an' all), and yes - I'd also like to hear more.

Cheers.

I was going to upload the music here so you guys could download them, but it doesn't appear that this forum let's you attach mp3 files. :hmm:

I guess I'll create website that let's you guys grab the files for your personal use.

I'll post the URL when I have it done.
