Need some Cthulhu PC's

Okay, I've got 4 people that are going to run through The Crack'd and Crook'd Manse tomorrow night. I'm going to pre-gen characters. I need 3 females and 1 male. Anyone have suggestions for concepts?

EDIT

At least one needs to be a private investigator, and they all need some reason to work together. I want to get going quickly.

I've never heard of this title. Is there a little background you could give us, or do you only want suggestions from people familiar with the material?

1 Private Eye
1 Heiress to the Crack'd and Crook'd Manse
1 Servant/Chauffeur to said Heiress
1 Realtor or Lawyer handling the arrangements

BTW, is this going to be d20? If not, do a google search for the Byakhee character generator and the PCs will be done before you know it.

On of my favorite Cthulhu PCs was a photographer. Took pictures of EVERYTHING. The DM even gave me compulsive picture taking as an insanity. Worked out real well.

Back on the old Wizards board, somebody posted a d20 CoC NPC generator--I can probably find that if you want.

And if you don't want to use the other (excellent) suggestion for characters:

  • Private Investigator
  • Secretary to PI, herself wanting to be a PI
  • Writer of ghost stories here for The Real Scoop
  • Medium

So PI is there to provide the "sane" answers, secretary gets to come along because she's been bugging him and he figures there's no harm in a haunted house story, Medium will go all Mme Blavatsky on them, and the writer is there because she wants to write things other than True Romance stories.

Or:

  • Private Investigator (female, if this is modern day...female even in the past, it's just harder to do)
  • Insurance Adjuster
  • Heir or Heiress to the Manse
  • Head Servant in the Manse, returned from helping a sick relative

According to the few web references to the adventure I found, it's clearly a 1920s adventure and it involves a disappearance:

  • Private Investigator
  • Former Love Interest of missing person (with any skills desired)
  • Spouse/Child/Parent/Sister of missing person (I have no idea which person is missing)
  • Creditor/Doctor/Dope Dealer/Bootlegger of Missing Person

Joan D'Arc, a blind woman with a magical shinai katana, which she uses as a cane. She can't see the monsters to lose SAN, but she can't usually tell if she's swinging at a monster or a PC, either...
