Autumn's Last Party
The Boys of Winter
The Last Huzzah or Hooray.

No love for the triumvirate? The Divine Trio? The Divine Three?

Since you have more than 3 players (i.e.: the number of gods), I would suggest naming them something other then three, but then saying that only 3 survived and became divine beings. In my campaign, I named an ancient band of heroes "The company of Ten Pilgrims". They weren't actually 10 members, the numbers fluctuated with time (and raise dead).

An, as in long ago in the past... not ancient, as in really old.

The Cadre

not bad. Or, the Cadre of Freedom or something similar.

That way, if one of the PCs dies or leaves the group or something, it won't have an effect on the backstory. We have one dedicated follower of the anti-slavery god in the group, plus a rogue that is an escaped slave... and we also have two followers (cleric & ranger) of the woodlands deity... but, only 1 follower of the traveler.

They could simply go by their names...

Alecto, Megeara, and Tisiphone?
Athos, Porthos, and Aramis?
Ed, Edd & Eddy? ;)

Over time, as membership in the group changes, the names of the originals could effectively become like titles or alternative identities- like there is always a Phantom ("The Ghost Who Walks," "The Man Who Cannot Die," "The Guardian of the Eastern Dark." )- the first to don the costume had a son. In time that son had another, and so forth. Each of the dynasty of Phantoms is, one after another, born into the legend then reared and rigorously drilled in the disciplines and the duties.

IOW, when the first one dies or retires- call him Alpha- a new hero will join the trio and be known as "Alpha". Then a new Beta or Gamma.

(Joel Rosenburg did something like this in his Guardians of the Flame series, BTW.)
