The netbook of psionics has just been reborn anew.
We are using a points based system that i will explain later in the post.

The basic system that it looks like:
you advance advance like a normal psion (from psionics handbook), but instead of gaining psychic powers and power points, you gain PSI levels wich you can use to buy ranks in diferent powers.
Power points per level:
lvl points
1 1
2 2
3 3
... +1
the powers you can buy ranks in are divided into 3 categories:
Sciences, Devotions, and advanced.
the sciences are the basic powers and every devotion requires a
specific level in a science before you can advance in it.
the PSI level cost of advancing a level, is the level you are
advancing to (1 PSI level to advance to lvl 1, 2 for level 2...) and
the max level is half you "caster level" rouded up
goes up to lvl 10 (or more for epic)
Devotions are more specific psionic powers,
my sugestion is that you need lvl.2 of the apropriate science to begin
advancing in the devotion.
the cost is the level you are advancing to *2 (2 for lvl 1, 4 for lvl
2). The max lvl is your "caster lvl" /2+3 (or half as much as you would
be able to advance in a science)
goes up to lvl 7

You are allowed to use the points in any combinations possible
The idea behind the system is that you may chose to specialize or have
a broad array of skills, but is still built in a way that you have to
have more than one power (no min maxing).
We have not come a long way with advanced, but the idea is to have some
powers that are very specific and hard to get. The requirements, costs
and max lvlx will be specific for each power, and could for example
include Energy lvl 4, Natural weapon lvl 1, & construction lvl 2 for
a power that empowers your fists with elemental energy and PSI lvl
cost 7 for lvl 1 and 4 for lvl 2. You would then have a system where
you could include a lot of diferent powers. This category is very open to submissions
We are currently working whith unlimited uses of powers. Where each rank in the powers give you some specific capabilities. On top of that it is possible to overload by burning ability scores.
