Neurolyzing in Men in Black

Quick question. In the first Men in Black, Will Smith as a cop chases down the alien, then goes to the precinct and meets up with K. They go to Jeeb's illicit items store, Will Smith points out which gun it is, and then a little while later he gets neurolyzed. He regains his senses, sitting in a restaurant, looking a little dazed as K jokes and hands him a card.

My question. How much memory did he lose? Does he ultimately remember meeting Jeebs and such, or was his memory wiped all the way back to before he started chasing the alien?

Given the way K likes to cover all possible problems, I'd say he wiped out all memories starting with the chase.

Which would explain why he acts like he does in the training area.

Plus anyone notice they called the alien a cephelopod? Its a squid!
