The Elemental Princes might make noises about gods making use of their elementals, but I'm not sure how much print the Elemental princes have seen since the original Fiend Folio.

They got mentioned in the 2E Planescape product The Inner Planes, and were given stats in the Planescape Monstrous Compendium Appendix III (under the "Archomental" heading).

The Elemental Prince of Evil Fire, Imix, was featured in Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. However, most fans of the planes dislike the write-up he got there, as he was made to be a CR 14 encounter (since thats what level the adventure tops out at), when he should be roughly the equivalent of the various Archdevils and Demon Lords.

Actually, Imix was a very, very tough CR 17. He's damn mean and while he may not be on par with a Demon Lord, I think his CR was a bit lower than what it should have been.

Where does it say Apomps is a god? I thought he was some sort of non-divine-but-still-powerful planar being.

Posted by Shemeska using Clueless's computer because I'm too lazy to go find my login password, and Clueless is asleep at the moment. I'll apologize later by not killing Clueless the PC tommorow.

He's usually referred to as both a Baernaloth and a deity at the same time, as god of the Gehreleths. 'On Hallowed Ground' placed him in the catagory of 'quasi-power', but given his utter age and origin, I'd be the last to want to mess with him. I'd prefer most any greater deity than him...

He's almost certainly a baernaloth, given everything that's been printed about him so far. As far as a god though, the OHG thing notwithstanding, I can't find anything else that actually calls him a deity (though I may have missed some stuff). Doesn't OHG also list things like Abyssal Lords and children of deities as being "quasi-powers" also? It seems like they're saying he's a being of unique status, but not a true god.

As it is, I've only seen one daemon who made the jump to full godhood, and that's the demigod Klagg from White Dwarf Magazine #41.
