Goodman Games has three new 4E releases hitting stores this week! Look for the DM Campaign Record, DCC #54: Forges of the Mountain King, and DCC #55: Isle of the Sea Drake in your favorite game store this week!

DM CAMPAIGN RECORD
GMG9702, $4.99
An indispensible playing aid, this campaign tracker is an essential tool for fourth edition DMs. Gone are the days of paper scraps and loose-leaf notebooks! The DM Campaign Record is a carefully designed booklet with space to record all information about an ongoing campaign: NPC stats, XP tracking, session logs, character reference, world info, and more. Just as every player needs a character sheet, every DM needs a campaign record!

DCC #54: FORGES OF THE MOUNTAIN KING
GMG5053, $14.99
Level 1 adventure. Includes Fat Dragon cardboard cut-outs! High in the Ul Dominor mountains, at the base of smoldering caldera, a lonely trail wends its way to a ruined dwarven citadel. Coveted by many, its location has been lost since time immemorial. Now you and your companions are prepared to explore the forgotten mountain fastness and its fabled dwarven horde. Within the moldering halls lurk ancient death traps, armies of cruel goblins, gnolls and worse, and a cursed treasure doomed to bring ruin upon any that dare to explore it.

DCC #55: ISLE OF THE SEA DRAKE
GMG5054, $14.99
Level 1 adventure. Includes double-sided poster map! All through the Known World, the stories are told again and again, by pirate captains and boasting merchant lords: a ferocious sea monster is stalking the trade lanes, and no vessel is safe. The call goes out for a band of heroes willing to dare the impossible: to slay a leviathan of the murky deeps.

OK, The concept is cool and all. But it just sounds unlikely low level PCs will be able to beat such an infamous monster if it's reputation is deserved. Right now I am guessing...

The Sea drake is a scapegoat. It is tough monster for a crew to fight but the pirates and merchants are trh ones behind what is happening to the ships

The Sea drake is a near paragon tier Solo monster, the PCs face it a few times and have to escape / drive it off. To finish it once and for all, the players have to lure it into a sea cave to trap/kill it. Said sea cave is controlled by other foes who have to be defeated to enact the plan.

The party kills what they think is the sea drake, but then Momma shows up, wrecks their ship and the players wind up on the Island
BTW I love the Isle of dread style player map.

Good stuff

I bought the Campaign Record at GenCon and can attest to how great it is, especially for a new DM like me. Very useful, has pretty much everything that could come up in a campaign, and much more portable than a laptop. ;)

I picked up #53, largely because of the laminated battlemap that was included. I saw also that the #54 and #55 contained add-ons like the Fat Dragon cardboard cut-outs and the double-sided poster map, respectively. Is the inclusion of an accessory going to be a regular thing in DCCs?

I wouldn't say "regular" but we're going to be doing lots of fun stuff. The first 50 DCC's only included a CD, a spinning wheel map, and a couple fun boxed sets. The NEXT 50 will feature a greater incidence of fun props. :)
