DEPARTMENT OF FORTEAN EVENTS JUDGE [1d6 years]

The Department of Fortean Events, is a small unit based at Psi Division’s headquarters which is devoted to the storing, recording and researching of unexplained phenomena. Areas of interest for study include a wide range of subjects, ranging from ancient mythologies to modern urban mythologies and cryptozoology. UFOs, rains of frogs, phantom hitch hikers and spontaneous human combustion are just a few of the mysterious subjects researched.

The premises of the DFE includes holding galleries filled with storage cases holding documents and artifacts, and large vid screen is used for presenting requested data. It is currently headed by the aging Doctor Rickard.

The uniform worn by its personnel is the same as other Psi Judges, though the badge features the initials DoF which are capped with a crescent emblem which is rotated so that both its points are uppermost. Within Psi Division HQ, judges working in the DoF are at liberty to wear lab coats and comfortable civilian clothing though their badge, less the chain, must still be worn.

EXPLOITS
Fortean Library Lore. If a piece of information relating to a Fortean subject exists in either an accessible Justice Department computer file or a book or object in the DoF library. You can locate it in 1d6x 10 minutes.
Preternatural Knowledge. You have an encyclopaedic knowledge of Fortean events and gain a +1d6 to all LOG rolls involving Fortean and paranormal knowledge.
Identify artefact (requires Preternatural knowledge). You can automatically identify a paranormal item and have an inkling about its properties.

Following the death of Doctor Rickard in 2012 during a joint mission to Tibet undertaken by Mega-City One and East-Meg Two psi judges, the influence of the Department of Fortean Events diminished.

Hello everyone

I was looking for a psionic exploit throughout O.L.D and W.O.I.N that befit one of the powers Judge Cassandra Anderson manifested yet could not find it. Seeing as she has throughout the progs used Psychometry thought I would take a stab.

Pyschometry (Requires PSI 2, Clairsentience). You open yourself psychically to read the psychic residue of an object accumulates from their previous owner. Time spent studying the object determines the amount of information acquired. Gain one piece of information for every 2 PP spent after activating the power.

For example, a street judge requests a psi-judge to find a perp who murdered a night watchman. After scanning the corpse to no avail the street judge produces a scrap of clothing caught in barbwire that may be the perp's. Scanning the scrap of cloth, which has the perp's blood on it Judge Anderson learns that the perp is male, hiurt and running. Further reading uncovers the perp is running towards bright lights - an amusement park.
