I'm working on a d20 campaign based on the "Dresden Files" series, and I'm looking for some outside input on 2 different class features for a "Sorceror" class and a "Paladin" class.
For the Sorceror class, I want to add a hinderance that they recieve a - (Sorceror level/2) when attempting to use a technological device (magic and tech don't mix well), but if I do that, I want to balance that flaw somehow. Any suggestions?
For the Paladin class, I will be just modifying the D&D class and getting rid of the mount class feature and adding an ability similar to the Slayer's weapon and an ability I'm calling "The Lord will provide." Basically, a paladin's wealth ability is kept in the 5-9 range, but if they are in real need of something outside of their ability to buy, they can get a bonus to the Wealth check (but works more like a Requisition check). Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this actually work?
