New Avatar Episodes Coming April 18th

Excellent. I came late to the party via the DVDs which ended with The Day of Black Sun Part 1. I kept waiting for the next 3 to be on Nickelodeon or Nicktoons but never saw them there. I was prepared to wait for the next DVD which according to Wikipedia was some time in May but now I can be current.

I think they changed the show again. Right now they're saying another Nicktoon movie is playing.

What the HELL is going on with Nick and this show. The DVDs are scheduled for release and still the Network isn't showing new episodes! I understand "waiting for sweeps" but it's been since November, 2007 since this show aired. The show is popular both with kids and adults, and they're even making a movie from it.

The only possible thing I can think of is somebody at the network doesn't like the show or something.

Yeah, I dunno. Avatar's not on tonight according to the TV Guides here, except for the usual old re-runs on Nicktoons network. And I never saw Western Air Temple or Firebending Masters on TV, so it either hasn't aired yet in the western or central US, or I just missed it somehow.

Yeah, there was a general ' announcement ' on that suppose airdate. Nick quickly thereafter corrected that, stating that the new shows' upcoming timetable was NOT set, yet.

I'm on the east coast and I haven't seen them either, so I don't think they've aired in the US, yet (at least my TiVo is set for a "season pass" and it hasn't recorded anything).

I have a bad feeling that we aren't going to see any new episodes until just before the DVD is released (this especially sucks since I've heard that even places like Brazil are getting new episodes already).

Basically this means that the 3rd Season 3 DVD will be released before Nick shows these episodes, but I think they will show all episodes in July before the release of the final Season 3 DVD.

I wonder if this will perk up DVD sales...

So, apparently this is the last season. Maybe that's old news to some, but it was a shocker for me. I'd hoped we'd get a fourth "air" season where we found out that some of the air nomads survived.

This is the last season with Aang. There is to be a spin off with another avatar, though if it is in the future or past is yet to be seen. Sort of like JL/JLU.
