New Background's?

First Post
This is the first time I've done this so excuse me is anything is incorrect or if its in wrong place.

I'm looking for unlisted background or fan created backgrounds. I was trying to creat a PC that was a slave sense it was a child but am curently unable to find anything about a slaves background options. It would be bad to just creat it myself and then enter it into a cheacter sheet, or unsportly. So if anyone has any ideas on it please inform me. Or if anyone has any Background's that aren't listed in the "Player's Handbook" 2 then inform me of them aswell.

There is the street urchin background from the scales of war (dragon mag 366)

It gives intimidate and streetwise as class skills, and a +1 to both.

In actuality the way I see it, any background that gives two skills as class skills and a +1 to both is just dandy in any of my games. So I would just pick two that go with your idea of "slavery" and ask your dm if that works.

it might behoove you not to do so. All of the backgrounds given by forgotten realms are region associated. Meaning they only exist in the forgotten realms world and are based on countries and regions probably non-existant in your DM's campaign.

Ah...That would be a good resion not to buy it thanks, afterall my DM is using a world he created and made my draw the maps for. Thanks again.

That is one of the books my DM dosen't have yet, I'll go buy it and look. Thanks.
Keep in mind the player handbook 2 stipulates that with backgrounds there is wording which sais "...with your DM's consent...", which to me means the DM has some right of vetto. At the end of the day your DM has to decide what is appropriate for your campaign. Having reviewed all of the FR backgrounds they are terribly inconsistent and some are just plain OP, so background options for our campaign are as PHB2 only (and we are playing realms!)

Whatever you do, dont just buy a book, shove it under your DM's nose and say "its printed so give it to me!". Before you fork out the dollars, discuss what is appropriate with your DM.
