New Campaign Setting

A few days or so ago I posted Hand of Evil's map whenever in the Art Gallery, Cartography & Miniatures forum, mostly unfinished stuff. As I was planing on starting a new campaign when 3.5 comes out I decided to flesh out one of those maps.

The problem I have, finishing. I have a concept and idea but when it comes to tying everything together I hit a wall, so I come to you for help.

Any comments, ideas, thoughts?

As you may notice I have used three published cities on the map, Bluffside, Streets of Silver, & Freeport.

1. Bluffside – City on the Edge, major port in the northwest
2. Three Rivers – This fortified town is built where the Dragon Tail River and the Golden Rivers meet to form the X River. Elfs, Dwarfs, Humans and others see this as start of the northern wilderness as it seats at the edge of the Dragon Basin.
3. Dragon Inn – almost a small village the Dragon Inn is considered the start of the Dragon Road or as it is being called by the Tarkin the King’s Road. It makes the boundary into the Dragon Basin. At this point the lands to the north and south of the river are off limits to habitation and development. The inn is run a dwarf clan that collects the ‘dragon toll’ to maintain the road. The Dragon Basin is the domain of very old to ancient Brass Dragon who it is rumored to live in ruins at the head waters of the Dragon’s Tail River. The Dragon maintains rangers and druids to patrol and care for the land and forest. The Dragon commissioned the road (the only paved road outside a city) as a means of income and to monitor traffic into the basin. In the last few years the Tarkins have been claiming the dragon is dead, having not been seen in the last few hundred years, and have been showing interest in taking over control of the road.
4. Tarkin Hold – The city of the Tark, once was just a village at the end of the Dragon Road but it has expanded to become an important city. The Tarks were once just a wandering clan of barbarians, outcast from the Bird Riders and half-orcs but with the dwarf decline they were able to take over number empty dwarf holdings to become a culture of their own, with towns and cities running north along the mountains and the grassland. As outcast the Tarkin have had numerous conflicts with the Bird Riders and have been expanding into the grasslands.
5. Grassland of the Bird Riders – Barbaric nomads riding large flightless birds.
6. Parma – Street of Silver -
7. Elven Isles
8. Weaver Forest
9. Freeport
10. Hag Swamp
11. Grand Hoary River
12. Badland

And what is the blind spot you run into? no adventure ideas? No other races/cultures to put on the map? Evrything?

Details, I come up with names but that is about it. :) Names of areas, added thoughts to areas, descriptions.

Aaaah, details.... Too early mate, you gotta starts with the big lines.:D

If you want to, we can try this as a webdesignworldthinghyexperiment. We try to think of a consistent world and you decide what you like/dont like.
If you want to i can storm my brain on a daily-weekly basis when I have the time, and you comment, ok?
